Maureen Walsh Sakakeeny, PE, LEED AP
Managing Principal
Ms. Sakakeeny has 20 years
experience in engineering consulting and program management for
institutions, specializing in complex projects with multidisciplinary
teams. Her engineering and environmental experience includes
planning, design and construction management for civil and transportation
infrastructure projects, including airport facilities throughout
the northeast. Her technical expertise includes soil
analysis, drainage design and stormwater management, geometric and
pavement design, development of erosion control and construction
sequencing plans. Her administrative and communications skills
include outreach and consensus building on numerous external relations
programs.
Ms. Sakakeeny holds a bachelors
degree in civil engineering from Tufts University and a masters
degree from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell. She
is a Registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire,
and a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited
Professional.

Stephen A. Sakakeeny, LSP, CPG, CHMM
Principal
Mr. Sakakeeny has 20 years experience in performing and managing
a variety of environmental projects. He has conducted hundreds of
environmental due diligence investigations; managed complex site
assessment and hydrogeologic, and remediation projects; and performed
facility closures at industrial, commercial and government facilities.
Mr. Sakakeeny has conducted environmental compliance audits at hundreds
of facilities and assisted clients in implementing Best Management
Practices. Prior to SAK Environmental, LLC, Mr. Sakakeeny was Audit
Project Manager for the Massachusetts Clean States Initiative, a
$1.5MM state-wide multi-media compliance project. Over 700 "environmental
matters" self reported by state agencies that included MHD,
DOC, DEM, MDC, DMR, DMH, DFA, and others were audited on fast-track
schedule. Mr. Sakakeeny has a Bachelors degree in chemistry and
geology from Tufts University, and a Masters degree in hydrogeology
from the University of New Hampshire. He is a Massachusetts Licensed
Site Professional (LSP), Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM),
and Certified Professional Geologist (CPG).

Jeanne M. Westervelt, PG
Geologist
Ms. Westervelt is an environmental geologist with 10 years experience
in conducting and managing environmental investigations at government
and industrial facilities. She has designed and implemented comprehensive
site investigations and sampling plans, and designed long-term groundwater
compliance programs and protocols for data evaluation during remediation.
Ms. Westervelt performed numerous hydrogeologic investigations in
New England and the Mid-Atlantic which included soil and groundwater
investigations, aquifer pump tests, landfill gas investigations,
and associated quality control and assurance. She has developed
models and predictive tools for risk assessment and data management
using GIS. Ms. Westervelt has a Bachelors Degree in Geology from
Bucknell University and has completed numerous graduate level courses
in hydrogeology from SUNY Stony Brook and City College New York.
Ms. Westervelt is a registered Professional Geologist (PG).

Zachary
M. Taylor
Environmental
Scientist
Mr. Taylor
has 5 years experience in environmental investigations and field
work, conservation and land use planning. Mr. Taylor has performed
land surveying, boundary research, and AutoCAD. His experience
includes soil sampling and surveys, land use planning, environmental
impact assessments, sustainability analysis, watershed and wetland
delineation, and interpretation of various land planning maps for
flood, topographic, and natural resources. Mr. Taylor holds
a bachelors degree in geography and natural resource management
from Salem State College.

Mark Grady, EIT
Environmental Engineer
Mr. Grady is a civil and environmental engineer with strong interests
in environmental sustainability, real estate development, and project
management. He has experience in supporting project staff in conducting
environmental site investigations, plan and utility research, data
tabulation and analysis, and preparation of AutoCAD drawings. Mr.
Grady is OSHA HAZWOPER-24 trained and has passed the Fundamentals
of Engineering (FE) exam. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil
and Environmental Engineering from University of Massachusetts at
Lowell. |

Roxann Carstensen, TURP
EH&S Compliance Specialist
Ms. Carstensen specializes in environmental
health and safety project management to help facilities achieve
and maintain compliance with local, state and federal environmental,
health and safety regulations. Ms.Carstensen has over 25 years of
experience in the EH&S field including Toxic Use Reduction Plans,
Air Permitting, National Pollution Discharge Elimination System
Permits (NPDES), Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans, Spill Prevention
Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC), Hazardous Waste Management
Systems (EMS), ISO 14001 compliance, H&S Training/Plans, Industrial
Hygiene Testing and Reporting, and EH&S auditing. She has extensive
expertise in OSHA compliance and training including Hazard Communication,
Confined Space Entry, safety training, and industrial hygiene. Her
experience includes working a variety of manufacturing, industrial
and institutional settings.

Susan
Boyle
Administrative Assistant
Mrs. Boyle
has over 10 years experience in office administration. She
handles accounts payable, marketing mailings, database management
and other administrative tasks for the office. Mrs. Boyle
has her Associates Degree in Executive Secretarial Science from
Bunker Hill Community College, and was a former Executive Assistant
to the Mayor of Cambridge, MA and Administrative Assistant in the
Cambridge Fire Prevention Department.

Paul
Murphy, P.E.
Air Permitting
Consultant (CAAssociates, Inc.)
Mr.
Murphy has 19 years of environmental compliance experience. He has
particular expertise in developing and managing air emission and
compliance programs, and preparing air emission permits for a variety
of manufacturing facilities. Mr. Murphy managed programs
for industrial facilities in the semiconductor industry, chemical
and biological product manufacturing industry, power industry and
other industries. Mr. Murphy has expertise with both state
and federal air rules and enjoys a strong working relationship with
key state and federal regulators. Mr. Murphy has prepared
numerous “new source” and Title V operating permit applications
in Massachusetts, most of the Northeast states and many other states
in the nation. Permit efforts managed by Mr. Murphy include
formulating permit strategies, managing emission inventories, BACT
analyses, MACT analyses (including 112(g) MACT determinations),
preparation of permit applications, and identifying emission
reduction credit opportunities. Mr. Murphy has a Bachelors
degree in Mathematics from Dalhousie University, a bachelors degree
in chemical engineering from Technical University of Nova Scotia
and a masters degree in education from Harvard University.
Mr. Murphy is a registered Professional Engineer.
Gerard F. Bliss
Environmental Health and Safety Consultant (Gerard
F. Bliss, Inc.)
Mr.
Bliss has over 30 years experience in the environmental industry
both as a consultant and director, and through his roles as plant
manager and process engineer. He is certified by the American
Board of Industrial Hygiene and is experienced in various industries
such as chemical, biotechnology, semiconductor, photo-chemical etching,
paper and textiles, construction, hospitals and municipalities.
He has extensive experience with OSHA standards and worker training.
Mr. Bliss holds a bachelors degree in chemical engineering from
the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
