About the Firm
SAK Environmental, LLC is an environmental consulting, engineering and
management firm based in North
Andover, Massachusetts. Our mission is to provide clients cost-effective,
technically sound solutions to environmental issues. Established
in 2003, the company is led by Principals with over 20 years of
technical experience, combined with exceptional analytical and
communication skills. We are a smaller firm that has established
itself in the market as client-focused, innovative, and cost-effective.
Our goal is to establish a long term relationship with our clients to
work with them on solutions that help their business thrive. More
than 70% of our work is from repeat clients and is a testament to the
success of this approach.
Services areas include environmental assessments for real estate
development, management of contaminated property, environmental
permitting, auditing and compliance, 24-hour emergency response,
construction support, and education programs.

Maureen W. Sakakeeny, Managing Principal, is
a seasoned professional with 20-years experience in engineering consulting
and program management, specializing in complex projects with multidisciplinary
teams. Her experience includes environmental planning, engineering
design and construction management for civil, transportation, and
airport infrastructure projects. Ms. Sakakeeny holds a bachelors degree
in civil engineering from Tufts University and a masters degree from
the University of Massachusetts at Lowell . She is a Registered Professional
Engineer in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, and a LEED (Leadership
in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional. |

Stephen
A. Sakakeeny, Principal, boasts over 20-years of experience in
solving environmental problems and providing practical advice and
technical solutions to clients in a variety of industries. His knowledge
of industrial processes, hazardous material management methods, site
development and construction, regulatory policies and environmental
risk management ensures real-world solutions based on hands-on experience.
He has a bachelor degree in both chemistry and geology from Tufts
University and a master degree in hydrogeology from the University
of New Hampshire . Mr. Sakakeeny is a Massachusetts Licensed Site
Professional, a Certified Professional Geologist, and Certified Hazardous
Material Manager. |
